The 2017 ACOMM Awards event held last week in Sydney marked the Foundation’s five year milestone and, like previous years, attendees gave generously throughout the evening donating almost $60,000 in just a few hours,to support Australians in need.

The evening’s fundraising effort was a true telco industry collaboration with Inabox Group employees taking on the role of raffle attendants, with support from Vocus Group employees as well.

Raffle prizes were donated by Acquire Business Resourcing, Inabox, Vocus Group and Sydney Kings which meant that 100% of the funds raised at this event go directly to those who need it most.

The after-party was sponsored by Mate Communicate and Inabox Group with $50 donated to the Foundation for everyone who attended and we are delighted to announce that Telco Together received over $8,000 which will do directly to our Community Partners working in areas such as mental health, homelessness, Indigenous health and youth unemployment.

A big thank you to Communications Alliance for their ongoing support of Telco Together, since the Foundation’s launch in 2012. This annual industry awards event continues to be an important avenue for our industry to learn more about disadvantaged Australians and giving back through donations and volunteering.
