A group of nine Vocus employees in Adelaide volunteered for The Salvos Market Place initiative last week, which helps those from all walks: young single mums, elderly men and women,families, women that are rebuilding their lives after escaping domestic violence - the stories are endless.
The different areas of work that volunteers help out with include assisting with cooking demonstrations, helping shoppers with food selection, re-stocking of tables and helping to run the cafe area, and connecting with guest through coffee and conversation.
Feedback from our volunteers about the day was as follows;
"Working with the City Salvos was an amazing experience. They do an enormousamount of good for the community and it was great to be a part of that." MattCreamer.
"A very rewarding experience - provides a greater appreciation of the amazing workthat the Salvation Army does for those less fortunate in the community." Sue Porter
